Wild West Stage Coach

My father built this model out of Balsa wood in his teenage years in the 1950's. Over the years it got damaged and broken down and ended up in a large cardboard box in the garage at our house. When my brother and I were in our early teens around 1990, our father allowed us the opportunity to restore the model.

We spent a fair amount of time remanufacturing lost and broken pieces and matching paint colors etc.

This photo is of the model on top of the lounge bookshelf at my fathers house, 20 years after being restored (2011). Looks a bit dusty now!

It is based off a modelplan my father bought in a copy of popular mechanics. The stagecoach is typical of the coaches used around the world in the 1850's or thereabouts.
