Manufacturers Description:

First introduced in 1973, it has been a prominent model in the Victorinox line for quite some time. In 1987 it was sort or remade with the fishscaler/ruler tool being replaced with the newly invented pliers, and also gaining a wood chisel. Models made earlier than 1991 have no Hook and the Scissors have a screw instead of the modern rivet attachment. After its tool update, having been been chosen to commemorate the Apollo 11 landing has continued to bring it a lot of attention over the years.

The Victorinox Craftsman is a 91mm model, with a large tool set in 6 layers and a historical connection to the American Space Program. The current tool configuration was introduced in 1987 featuring the newly added Pliers implement. The current model is essentially the same but several of the tools have evolved and the hook tool has been included since the early 1990s.
