Sun-planet arrangement
Lots of people have already used this idea to create reduction gearboxes. (Most electric screwdrivers use an arrangement like this.) This is more of an experiment in rendering newer parts to see what the results will be like.
Gearboxes that I have come across use a tri-arrangement instead of the pair shown here. In a tri stack-arrangement, advantages include a tendency for the whole gearbox to remain aligned along the central axis even if the shaft is distorted a bit.
