One of the
highlights of Kershaw knives is the SpeedSafe assisted opening mechanism. A
torsion bar assists to maintain the blade closed preventing that it opens by
accident, and at the same time permits a fast deploying with only one hand. In
the Boa the thumb stud that commands the SpeedSafe device can be placed either
the left or right side of the blade for an ambidextrous deploying.
To
further ensure a safe use of the knife the Kershaw Boa comes with a locking
liner to lock the blade into place after the blade is deployed.
